A 251.1 kW grid-connected solar power station with Jinko Sungiga G2 solar panels with a capacity of 261 kWh

Solar power station capacity: 251.1 kW

Solar power station inverter capacity: 200 kW

Equipment: Jinko SunGiga G2 system

Battery storage capacity: 261 kWh

Location: Kyiv region

About the Project

A 251.1 kW grid-connected solar power plant with a Jinko SunGiga G2 energy storage system was implemented in the Kyiv region. The solar power plant has an inverter capacity of 200 kW, while the energy storage system has a capacity of 261 kWh.

Combining solar generation with energy storage makes it possible to use electricity generated by the solar power plant not only directly when it is produced, but also to store it for later use according to the facility’s operating mode.

Solar Power Plant Combined with an Energy Storage System

The grid-connected solar power plant generates electricity from solar energy, while the energy storage system is used to store it and subsequently discharge it according to the configured operating mode.

This type of energy system makes it possible to align solar electricity generation with the facility’s actual consumption. The storage system can be useful when part of the electricity generated by the solar power plant needs to be shifted to another period.

For businesses, combining a solar power plant with an energy storage system also creates additional opportunities for load management and more flexible use of in-house generation.

Jinko SunGiga G2 System

Jinko SunGiga G2 is designed as an industrial energy storage system for commercial and industrial facilities. The system uses LiFePO4 batteries and includes integrated solutions for managing and monitoring the operation of the energy storage system.

As part of this project, the 261 kWh energy storage system operates together with a 251.1 kW grid-connected solar power plant. This configuration combines solar generation and energy storage within a single energy system.

Project Result

The completed facility in the Kyiv region combines 251.1 kW of solar generation with 261 kWh of energy storage. The system is designed to provide more flexible use of electricity generated by the solar power plant.

For businesses, solutions of this type make it possible to consider not only the amount of solar generation but also the electricity consumption profile throughout the day.

Implementation by Ekotechnik Ukraine
