Solar Power Plant for a Glass Factory with a Capacity of 450 kW, Rivne Region
A 450 kW industrial solar power plant has been implemented for a glass manufacturing company in the Rivne region. The solar power plant covers part of the facility’s production load with in-house electricity generation.
Energy-Intensive Manufacturing and In-House Generation
Glass manufacturing is a process with high and virtually continuous electricity consumption: furnaces, conveyor lines, and process equipment are in operation. For this type of production, an in-house solar power plant makes it possible to cover part of this load with on-site generation, reducing exposure to changes in electricity market prices.
A Solar Power Plant Designed for the Facility’s Specific Load
The 450 kW capacity was selected based on the facility’s actual consumption profile. This allows the solar power plant to operate effectively during daylight hours, when the production facility is also actively consuming electricity.
Results for the Business
In-house generation reduces the share of electricity purchased from the grid and makes electricity costs more predictable. For facilities with continuous production cycles, this provides a tangible and consistent benefit.
Every industrial enterprise has its own consumption profile, so Ekotechnik Ukraine always begins the calculation with an analysis of the specific facility’s load.
