A supermarket consumes electricity throughout the entire operating day: refrigeration equipment, sales floor lighting, ventilation, and checkout systems create a stable load. The solar power plant covers part of this consumption with in-house generation during daylight hours.
A Solution Designed for Chain Retail
For retail chain facilities, it is important that the solar power plant fits into the store’s daily operating schedule without interfering with the retail process. The location and capacity are selected according to the specific store and its load profile.
Benefits for the Network
In-house generation reduces the share of electricity purchased from the grid at the facility and provides the network with more predictable electricity costs, particularly at locations where energy-intensive refrigeration equipment is in operation.
